The Public Health Agency (PHA) has said it has detected what it believes to are two suspected outbreaks of the Delta variant in Northern Ireland. Health experts believe outbreaks in Castlewellan and Londonderry might be attributed to the more infectious Delta variant, which was first detected in India.
