This preservative system has worked really well for our clients in our other products too.
After successful challenge testing and dermatologist patch testing we decided to make the switch permanently and now have the updated product in stock.
As part of the EU registration process we've also had to begin making some ingredients list updates.
The labs that create our safety reports use a specific way to calculate ingredient percentages for herb extracts, and that's affecting the order in which ingredients will appear.
Nothing has changed about:
- Our herbs and where we're getting them
- The quality of our oils and where they come from
- The process we use to extract our herbs
- The potency of the extracts
- The people making the recipes
- Our manufacturing processes for the recipe
- Any other ingredients in the recipe
The new ingredients list for Free reads like this:
Glycerin, Water, Vitis vinifera (grapeseed) Oil*, Helianthus annuus (sunflower) Oil*, Caprylyl/capryl glucoside (C8-C10 alkyl polyglucoside) (Ecocert vegetable source cleanser), Quillaja saponaria* Wood Extract (soapbark), Gluconolactone, Extracts of Ilex paraguariensis* (yerba mate), Medicago sativa* (alfalfa), Prunella vulgaris* (self heal), Plantago major* (plantain), Rubus idaeus* (raspberry leaf), Centaurea cyanus* (cornflowers), Olea europaea* (olive leaf), and Tilia europaea* (linden), Cetearyl Wheatstraw Glycosides, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Levulinate, Sodium Anisate, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Xanthan Gum

Over the next year we'll be gradually rolling out INCI based ingredients list updates for other products as well.
These updates help us stay resilient as a business and achieve our mission of serving as many people as possible with healthy, quality skincare.
We'll keep doing as much as we can to stay true to our mission and your skin in 2025 after our biannual company vacation.
