It's no secret that times are stressful.
The economy is somewhat fragile & volatile.
Inflation is taking a slow but steady toll on us all.
The election is near, and political tensions are high.
There's uncertainty in the market, and in foreign conflicts…
There's a lot to think about, a lot going on in the world, and it can often get overwhelming.
Whereas we can't control the outside world, the good news is…
You can control yours.
Together, and with the right tools, there is peace to be found in the chaos.
And it's our belief that there's nothing more priceless.
That said, here are
3 Easy, Daily Practices to Help You Find Peace in This Crazy World
- Storm-Taming: There's an exercise we've dubbed "Storm-Taming" which is to make a list, as long as you like, of all the things that haunt your peace. The idea is to get all your worries out on paper, then read through your list and ask yourself a simple question, "is this something I can control?" If it is, circle it. If it's not, cross it out. By the end, you'll have your list of worries you can actually control. From there, the key is to take some action (no matter how small) to own what you can. The result? Peace-of-mind knowing that you're actively doing your best to control what you can.
- Breathwork: One of our favorite techniques for relieving stress & anxiety is a simple, 3-minute session of breathwork. It's up for constant debate which method is most effective, but the method we recommend is simple: take deep, full breaths in through the nose and exhale fully through the mouth, do 20 breaths as-such, followed by a full exhale and complete pause at the end, until you need to breathe again. Then repeat for a total of 3 rounds. Give this a try the next time you're feeling anxious, and watch the stress melt through your fingers.
- Get in the Cold: Sure, we're biased. But the truth is, one of the best things you can do to find peace in a world full of chaos is to build your inner resilience. Getting in the cold for just 3 minutes a day, 3-4 times per week, is one of the inarguable best ways to build your resilience.
After just one week of a semi-regular cold therapy, the vast majority of people report a noticeable reduction in their stress and anxiety levels.
You notice your thoughts start to change…
"That's not really as big a deal as I thought"
"That's actually so doable, why was I stressing so much over this?"
"If I can conquer just 3 minutes of uncomfortable cold, everything else throughout my day is peanuts!"
It may sound like pseudo-science, but the science is clear and real:
Regular cold therapy improves the human cortisol response, and with it- successfully reduces stress and anxiety.
We know the world can seem a bit crazy, unpredictable, and tense.
Your job isn't to try and control or 3-D chess your way through the problems of the world, but to find your own inner peace and build your resilience for whatever comes your way.
All the tools you need to experience unshakable peace are here in front of you.
This crazy world isn't going anywhere, there will always and forever be plenty to stress and angst over…
The question is: how will you dance with it?
