| If someone told me a few years ago that a simple 5-minute cold plunge would change my life, I would have laughed. But here we are… | | Post-quarantine, I hit rock bottom. | 12-15 hour work days. Partying all weekend. My body felt old and beat up. I was burnt out, anxious, and depressed.
In a desperate attempt to feel human again, I converted an old chest freezer into a DIY cold plunge.
In just 5 minutes submerged in the cold plunge, something clicked inside of me. |  | |
I felt…alive! My energy skyrocketed. My stress? Melted. The cold plunge was like liquid happiness. Both physically and mentally, I felt like a new person.
Turns out cold plunges weren't a fad or a gimmick. It was therapy.
I knew I needed to make the cold plunge a daily habit. The problem was, my DIY freezer was a b*tch to maintain. It would break and require frequent repairs. I'd have to constantly dump the dirty water, clean the freezer, and fill it with fresh water – or else risk it turning into a giant petri dish. And not to mention how uncomfortable it was to lay in a rigid metal freezer. There had to be a better way. |  | So I did some research and found that most other cold plunges required similar upkeep and worse – they needed ice. The problem with ice is that you constantly need more of it. That means your daily habit of rejuvenating cold submersion turns into a daily habit of buying and lugging around bags of ice. Not ideal for you or your wallet over time.
Hitting a wall in my research for a better option, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create the best cold plunge on the market. | |

So I put my mechanical engineering master's degree to good use and BOOM, the Inergize Cold Plunge Tub was born.
