I love camping, as you can imagine. But one of the tasks I hate about it is packing and unpacking. And I'd imagine that I'm not alone. There are some ways of mitigating that pain, and here are a few I'd recommend. | | Before we move on, hop onto our website to unlock some unreal deals! How to Plan and Pack for a Camping Trip?
| | Create a spreadsheet that can be shared and updated in real time. You know what they say - make a list and check it twice… This is really important for camping trips. Ideally it can be updated in real time by many - so something like Google Sheets is perfect. Try assigning items etc.
| | | | |
Research the conditions and the weather. Sunscreen, mosquito repellent, wind breaker, extra tarps etc. And what kind of ground are you pitching on? Do you need sand stakes for the tent? Normal stakes are ineffective in sand. Get the picture? This will dictate what you need to bring/pack.
| | | | |
Now that you're prepared, how do you pack. I assume you're not one of these guys:

There are lots of options. I think two things need to be considered. One is the transporting - i.e. in transit. And one is on site. I recently saw one of our team use hard-shell see through boxes that stack. And these work really well for both transportation and on site, but they can need a little more space when moving as they are rigid. Consider labeling them food, clothes, or by name for families etc. As mentioned, see through can be a great option.
| | If you're a little tighter for space then consider soft bags. They are inexpensive and they can be really good organizers.
| | | | |
When on site, there are really good options for storage and hanging of clothes in your tent or awning. Shop around and check the reviews - ideally on video, to make sure it works for you. This gets everything off the ground in the tents and helps with stress levels.
| | Remember that the big thing is planning. Measure twice and cut once. You'll still need to be adaptable, but a little research goes a long way. And a small word on safety. Remember to check warnings, and respect fire and fumes. Read the labels. Thanks as always, and I hope that you continue to get some value from our Newsletter. | | | | |
