At DiamondCore® Tools, we love exceeding your expectations, which is exactly why we began the innovation and development of our sgraffito stylus tools. Early versions of the DiamondCore® sgraffito tools included wood-handled hand tools with metal tips on them. These were inspired by common needle tools, but the goal was to achieve the smoothest line possible.

As we received feedback from artists, the tools evolved to have actual diamond-abrasive metal tips that scratch through the outer layer of pieces with ease. Despite these earlier versions being created around 2017, many of these tools with older, striped foam grips can still be found in pottery studios with the diamond tips still going strong!

In years past, these tools were painstakingly built a few at a time within a small woodworking tent. Today, DiamondCore® can build hundreds of L Series tools from quality materials in a matter of hours, making them ready for distribution around the world.
