A personal share: a sad goodbye 💔

Hi, This is a bit of an offbeat email from me, but since I post a lot about my sweet cat Rio, I wanted to share that he passed away yesterday.

If you've been around for a while, you know how important he was to me. I spent a lot of time with him, and you've probably seen him in many of my pictures, videos or Instagram stories.

Yesterday morning, he was having trouble breathing, so we took him to the ER. He had fluid around his lungs due to a heart issue and was struggling.

Last night, I remembered a strange coincidence. A few months ago, when I thought he might be a little sick, I asked him to stay with me until I launched my new ginger shots. Ironically, he did just that—almost as if he knew.

If you have pets, you know how much comfort and unconditional love they bring. Rio was 14, so he had been with me longer than All About Juicing has existed. He was by my side when I wrote my first blog post and sent my first email to you. I used to joke that he was the 'All About Juicing' mascot.

Always with me, this is how he would lay on my messy desk like this as I wrote recipes, my books, and emails to you.

His passing has reminded me how important it is to take care of ourselves and spend time with the people and pets we love. Life is short. So, this email is a gentle reminder for you to do just that.

It also reinforced my 'why' behind creating my new line of juices. I truly believe that a healthy diet and proper supplementation can improve our lives. Seeing him get sick motivated me even more to continue this journey.
