Can electric really replace diesel?
It’s a fair question. Diesel has powered farms and large properties for generations. It’s energy-dense, familiar, and proven. But electric power has its own advantages and they help a lot, especially when applied to tractors.
Electric motors deliver smooth, instant torque. They are quiet around animals and people. They don’t idle away fuel and spew fumes. They don’t need oil changes, fuel filters, belts, ignition, or exhaust systems. Ultimately, they have far fewer moving parts to maintain.

That’s why we’re launching the GoSun Moonrider 27; a 27 HP, 4WD electric compact tractor built for real work on farms, vineyards, homesteads, campuses, etc. It can mow, haul, till, grade, pull, and run standard implements with a rear PTO and three-point hitch.
Plus, it's priced in line with comparable diesel compact tractors, yet the cost to run it will be dramatically lower: no diesel fuel, less maintenance, less noise, less stink, lower operating costs.
Diesel isn’t going away overnight. But for a lot of everyday tractor work, electric is ready.
