From John Danaher: I am very happy to announce the release of my latest instructional video MASTER THE MOVE: THE KNEE CUT GUARD PASS. There are dozens of ways to pass guard, but always there have been a small number of methods that always seem to outperform. Methods that work extremely well across all weight categories, gi and no gi, all belt levels, against a wide array of different guards. The knee cut is unquestionably one of those methods. It will always figure prominently in our training program and is often used by my athletes. It works not only as a great passing method in itself, but is also an excellent set up to other passing methods and combines well with other high percentage passing strategies. It works equally well as a sped based method to quickly slip through even very sophisticated guards and also as part of a pressure based close contact, slower method of passing. It's is very difficult for an even a good opponent to counter and thus carries little risk in its use. If you want to take your guard passing to a higher level - the knee cut is one of the absolute best places to start your program! Link in my instagram story! |
